Let us protect the beautiful environment

Under that slogan, Hitachi Kokusai Electric group will realize a sustainable society in harmony with the environment through the development of superior technology, products and solutions. To that end, we will promote global creative manufacturing aiming to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire lifecycle of products and services produced by us. We will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through working to preserve the global environment and biodiversity.

Hitachi Kokusai Electric group will promote its activities according to the following principles:

  1. Work to continuously improve the Company's environmental management system to enhance environmental performance.
  2. Observe international environmental regulations, environmental legal regulations, voluntary standards set by the Company, and other requirements voluntarily accepted by the Company, while working to prevent environmental contamination.
  3. To fulfill these environmental principles, set environmental objectives and targets, and promote environmental management involving all the employees. Review the environmental objectives and targets once a year.
  4. Present the following important items to preserve the environment, and carry out related activities.
(1)
Promote environmentally conscious design and the green procurement of products.
(2)
Work to reduce energy consumption such as electricity and consider various measures to mitigate climate change, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality.
(3)
For the sustainable resource use and effective use of resources, thoroughly ensure that waste emissions are reduced and collected as classified.
(4)
Work to properly control chemical substances and reduce the consumption thereof in order to prevent environmental contamination and protect the biodiversity and ecosystems.
