Nestled in the Hida Toyama region, Toyama Prefecture's Yatsuo ---- To promote high-tech industry, Toyama Prefecture created the Yatsuo Industrial Park. In 1989, with the commencement of operations at the Toyama Works, Hitachi Kokusai Electric began occupying a corner of this industrial park as a base for producing semiconductor manufacturing equipment. As a high-tech factory incorporating the best of Hitachi Kokusai Electric's technological expertise, the Toyama Works produces semiconductor manufacturing equipment while also developing and producing various types of software. Since its establishment,the Toyama Works has consistently enhanced its development and production capacity in Hitachi Kokusai Electric's strongest product line: semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Today, the Company is able to meet the needs of major users located around the world. The Toyama Works comprises such facilities as a world-class super-clean room, Semiconductor Equipment System Laboratory, and Training Center.
